Below, Travellingbug Project Co-ordinator Ian Woolley talks about his experiences in Ugana when he went out to meet the organisation in February 2008:
This project will blow your mind.
Unlike many orphanages where fifty children are squashed into a box room, this is a place where children live in high quality housing, have a mother that lives onsite with them, and facilities that provide the very best of education.
It's incredible to see what this change in environment can produce: many of these children came from background of war, extreme poverty and abuse, yet now they are top of their class at school, and playing happily with the other children.
Once you see the work that is going on, and the plans for the future, you will be amazed!
