Travellingbug's first ever customer, Ian liked it so much he decided to get involved on a day-to-day basis!

On his first trip to Bolivia, Ian volunteered in a childcare centre, singing amongst other things the infamous 'Fruit Song'. He also travelled further, tasting the fine meats of Argentina, and the fine wines of Chile.

Since then, he has also set up Travellingbug's second volunteering project in Kampala, Uganda after a trip in February earlier this year.

Unable to afford the high costs travel companies were charging for volunteering trips, on a gap year in 2006 James jumped on a plane headed to South America to do his own thing.

By chance he met a small charity in Bolivia, and spent some time volunteering with them. On leaving, he promised to return with volunteers and a donation to their work.

Travellingbug was born.
