Information Booklet
Volunteers are given an information booklet that discusses safety, health and security while abroad. Included in this pack are emergency contacts details and advice on immunisations and travel insurance.

Read this pack with your child making sure you are both happy.
Know Before You Go
Read travel advice by country from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s Know Before You Go scheme.
Keeping in-touch
Most volunteers stay in touch with friends and family back home while they are away through email, online travel blogs, and telephone calls.

Discuss with your son/daughter how to remain in contact during their trip for your peace of mind.
