For those of us who would struggle to fund a volunteering trip abroad ourselves - fear not! Many volunteers in the past have raised all of the money they needed. Fundraising is not compulsory, though many choose to do it.

Fundraising
Host a Pub Quiz evening, and combine it with a raffle draw - one Travellingbug volunteer raised over £800 last year doing just this!
In your local area, organise a barn dance, a BBQ, a gig, football tournaments, karaoke evenings, wine tasting, an auction of promises… the list is as long as your imagination!

Choose something challenging: walking, swimming, cycling, eating… and get sponsored to do it. One volunteer took on a 2,300km desert challenge on a motorbike (above) over the Middle East...!
Bake and sell cakes - always goes down a treat!
Give friends, family and colleagues a tube of Smarties and (once all eaten) ask them over a period of weeks to fill the empty tube with £1 coins and give it back to you - you will be surprised how much a tube can hold!
