CEPROSI is a women and children’s welfare group in Bolivia's capital. The charity runs childcare centres across the city, caring for a total of 80 children from poor backgrounds who are often malnourished and have poor hygiene.
CEPROSI also provides education to women on matters such as sexual health, political participation, and violence in the home.
Childcare (Under Sixes)
CEPROSI's centres are under-funded and under-staffed. Volunteers are needed to support the daily caring of the children and are invited to teach basic English and Maths, as well as arts, crafts or sports.
Duration: approximately 1 - 12 months - the longer the better!
Social Research / Micro Finance Research
Generate primary research into the current issues of domestic violence in Bolivia. The results of the research will be used in the development of victim rehabilitation programmes.
We also seek a volunteer to conduct reseach on the impact of Travellingbug-funded micro-credit schemes.
Duration: approximately 6 - 12 months.
